確か，レッド・ドラゴン，羊たちの沈黙，ハンニバルは読んだ．ということで結構期待して読んだ．読んでいる最中で映画も見てしまった．
翻訳の影響もあるのかもしれないが，美しい言葉で書こうという努力が見て取れる（見て取れる時点で，まだまだ，ということでもある）文章で，非常に血みどろの世界を描いた，という感じ．
美しい言葉にする過程で日本文化とか日本の伝統を入れてみた，という感じか．よく勉強しているなぁ，とは思うが，イメージ先行の感は否めない．
映画は2週間ほど前に見たのだが，不満なのはマダムを演じているのが日本人でないこと．作品としては結構好き，だがもう一度観たいと思うほどでもない．
ストーリー的には本の方がよいと思う．個人的には映画→本という見方をする方がいい作品かな，という気がした．
